As CEO of NexGen Cloud, I am thrilled to declare a monumental leap in our mission to democratise AI and bridge the technological divide between Europe and North America. With the launch of NVIDIA Blackwell, NexGen Cloud boldly steps onto the global stage as one of the few cloud service providers equipped to deliver next-generation computing at an unprecedented scale.

It was a proud moment as I watched NVIDIA’s CEO, Jensen Huang, announce NexGen Cloud as a launch partner for NVIDIA Blackwell in front of close to 300,000 viewers during his GTC keynote speech. This marked not just a technological advancement, but a pivotal shift in how high-performance computing resources will be accessed and utilised in Europe. Never before in history has a non-US cloud entity been able to build and deploy arguably the most advanced compute ever seen at the same pace and the same scale as its US hyperscalers.

For too long, Europe, and particularly the UK, has been overshadowed in technological innovation. Our exceptional talent pool, despite being among the world’s finest, has limited access to critical computing resources in the region. Europe is experiencing a brain drain in tech precisely because of these limitations – large US-based hyperscalers have historically dictated the pace of innovation – and Europe is currently a step behind.

NexGen Cloud is changing that narrative – this isn’t just about staying current; it’s about setting the pace. For the first time, European entities will have access to the most advanced and performant computing resources necessary to drive their innovations at a competitive, if not superior, pace compared to their US counterparts.

This milestone is not merely about upgrading our technology – it’s about rewriting the rules of the game. We are working with some of the most advanced Data Centres in the world to support an unprecedented scalability, which few else can support. To put it into perspective, only two years ago a 10KW rack was considered impressive. With NVIDIA Blackwell, we will be deploying up to 120KW per rack in sustainable AI-ready Data Centres.

Together, we will shape the future of AI, pushing boundaries, setting new standards, and achieving what once seemed beyond reach. The launch of NVIDIA Blackwell is not just our next step; it’s our leap into a future ripe with possibility and promise.
